Membership is an on going process, fall being the best time to join to get a full rehearsal season but members are accepted all year long. To become a member of the Danbury Drum Corps, you must at least 15 years old.  Previous musical experience is a plus but not necessary.  Music and marching lessons are provided for each member as well as musical instruments and uniforms.

Come visit us and have a look at the drum corps. Observe a music lesson, see how a section rehearsal and a full corps rehearsal works.  If you like what you see, then come and join the fun!

Our sectional make-up:

Brass - The brass section is comprised of a blend of 1st, 2nd and 3rd trumpets coupled with a multi- part baritone trumpet section providing complete melody and harmonies giving the corps it’s full sound.

Fife & Bells - The fifes and bells section provides the high end melody essential to our traditional martial music selections.

Color Guard - The Color Guard section of the corps comprises members who are trained in marching and handling rifles, and flags. It is this section that carries the corps “colors” up front and precedes the corps in parades and performances.

Percussion - The percussion section provides the cadence and the backbone beat for the corps, consisting of snare drums, tenor drums, quints, bass and cymbals.

To inquire further about the corps send us an email. If you would like to stop by and see us, we rehearse every Wednesday night, from 7:30 to 9:30, September to June at The Catholic War Veterans hall on Shalvoys Lane in Danbury CT.
